Corporate Integrity: Expert Group Fellowship Workshop in Malacca

Recently Private Sector, one of the sector at the Malaysia Institute of Integrity (IIM) has organised one-day programme entitled ‘Corporate Integrity: Expert Group Fellowship Workshop’ at Hatten Hotel, Malacca on 20 November 2014. This workshop has successfully gathered 18 experts from various fields including private and public sectors, and also the academician and integrity’s partners. It consists three sessions with each session is guided by several questions or issues.

In early session, the discussion concerned on how to improve the existing research and research that should be developed in the future. Meanwhile the next session emphasised on the internationalisation and institution issue. Amid this session, several questions raised by the speaker including the important stakeholders, collaboration between professional bodies with IIM, significant possible trends for the future, IIM’s efforts to manage internationalisation more effectively, and also the government’s endeavour in order to promote and support the internationalisation strategy. In the final session, the discussion continued with focus on the training field. It includes reviewing module and upgrading material besides developing and identifying a resource-person.

According to the Private Sector’s Director Mr. Mohd Nizam Mohd Ali, the objective of the workshop is to assemble the experts in order to gain their ideas, views and suggestions from the experts in which will facilitate the planning and direction of the economic institutions, especially in the area of integrity.
